Idea
Starting point for the building is a cube that is virtually segmented by a three-dimensional grid. Predefined chunks are cut out along the grid lines, determining the building shape. The resulting form provides the basis for the various functional requirements, e.g.: natural illumination, ventilation and recreation by the generated aerial spaces, or building circulation realized with additional connecting bridges. The building“s appearance is determined by the texture of the outer facade and by the glow of the inner facades. It will include office space for administration, research and design, enabled by an auditorium, canteen, public restaurant, conference rooms, laboratories, shops, space for recreation, roof terraces.
